Sif Benedictas Diamond Collection
Sif Benedicta is an Icelandic brand of high end bags, cluthces and accessories founded by Halldóra Sif in 2017. Earlier in Halldóras career she was an intern for Olympia-Le-tan leading up to the fashion week in Paris and worked for Alexander McQueen in London in the WRTW team. Her aesthetic vision is focused on the form and care for the details of the handbags and accessories. We love unexpected colours and want to create a nostalgic feeling with something that a person would love and care for.
In Sif Benedictas third collection, Halldóra Sif, the owner and designer of SB, and Brynja Skaldar, costume designer and stylist, joined forces and created the collection collaboratively. They decided to add RTW to the Sif Benedicta brand and therefore complete the look of the brand, which up until now had only been handbags and accessories. Brynja and Halldóra had been collaborators on previous shoots for SB but wanted to work together on designs and push the brand even further. They wanted to find balance between a colour explosion as well as nostalgia and the refinement of classic tailoring. They worked a lot with the romanticism of the 70’s as well as the ‘stiffness’ which could follow the tailoring of this era.
